Tour Details
Our exhilarating Snorkel/Dive & Beach Lunch Tour takes you from the port in Amber Cove to the clear waters of Sosua Bay, which is one of the best dive sites in the Dominican Republic.
Departing from the port in our air-conditioned vehicle, you can sit back and enjoy a journey of approximately an hour, taking in the scenery of coast and countryside, while our knowledgeable guide entertains you with interesting facts, or answers any questions you may have about the region or Dominican life or culture.
Arriving at the dive center in Sosua, you will be fitted out with snorkelling or diving gear, given a short safety briefing, and be on a boat on your way to the dive site. Before you know it, you will be in the water snorkelling or diving!
During your snorkel or dive, you will be swimming around the reefs or coral gardens (divers only), where you will have the opportunity to see or photograph many types of colourful fish and corals including the beautiful fan coral.
After the dive or snorkel, you will head over to the sandy beach for a tasty BBQ lunch and complimentary rum drinks before we you are transported back to the port.
Port Pickup Info
Meeting Point:
We have to pick you up at the main entrance of the terminal on the road. As it is an independent tour, the cruise lines do not allow us to pick you up inside the terminal. When we receive your reservation, we will send you the confirmation receipt with all the instructions, and a map so that you can easily find the meeting point. We leave 45 minutes after the boat docks, and it takes about 12-15 minutes to walk from the boat, so make sure you leave enough time to get there.
What To Bring
- Swimwear, towel and sunscreen
- An underwater camera if available
- Scuba divers must have a current PADI certificate
Who Can Go
- Adults and children six years old and above who are competent swimmers.
- (Parents must confirm that their children can swim well)
- Note: Minimum of 6 people required per booking.
Important Information:
Don’t worry if your ship is late or does not come into port! We offer full refunds on tours not able to run for these reasons. If it is just a little late and we can still run the tour, we will shorten the lunch to make up for the lost time, so you still get to enjoy the activity and get back to the boat in time.
